“Notes on Blindness” Special Screening at Newlyn Filmhouse
Monday, July 18th, 2016 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
£7
We are pleased to announce that Newlyn Filmhouse are putting on a special audio-enhanced screening of the critically acclaimed film Notes on Blindness. The film, which is in cinemas now, reconstructs audio diaries that follow theologian John Hull’s experience of becoming blind. It’s a film about losing sight, but gaining vision.
The enhanced audio version created for people with a visual impairment contains more original narration from John and his wife Marilyn to tell the story, along with extra sound design and music. It evokes action, rather than providing a literal description.
The special screening will take place on Monday 18 July at 3pm. Tickets cost £7 each and if you have a CEA card from the UK Cinema Association, you are entitled to a free ticket for someone to accompany you.
Tickets can be booked online, in person at 23-31 The Coombe, Newlyn, TR18 5HS or by calling Newlyn Filmhouse on 01736 332222.
