On Wednesday, 10th June members of the iSightCornwall team will be at St John’s Hall in Penzance to provide advice and information about the services available to Cornwall’s visually impaired community.

Our Assistive Technology team will also be demonstrating the latest low vision aids, mobile phones, tablets and video magnifiers designed for visually impaired people. Please let us know in advance if there is a specific gadget or device that you would like us to bring to the event.

We will also be joined by representatives from Enhanced Vision, and more groups and partners who will be on hand to offer advice and answer questions.

Getting to St John’s Hall:

St John’s Hall is located on Alverton Street, close to Day Lewis Pharmacy, Penzance Town Council and Jobcentre Plus.

The nearest bus stops are: Penalverne Place which is served by the 7, 16, 16A and 409 busses or the church stop which is served by the 5, 18C, A1, A17, M6 and U4 busses.

Parking:

The nearest car park is Penalverne car park (next to St John’s Hall). Other options nearby are Clarence Street car park and Park Corner car park.

Disabled Access:

Disabled access is located through the main entrance on the ground floor which has automatic doors. It is accessible for wheelchair users.
