As it is not always easy to visit the Sight Centre we will be holding a Sight Loss Awareness event at Torpoint Town Council on Thursday 30 August. Various members of the iSightCornwall team will be in attendance to answer all of your questions and queries relating to sight loss and visual impairments.

Our Assistive Technology Officers will also be on hand to demonstrate the latest assistive technology gadgets and devices designed specifically for the visually impaired. If there is a particular item you would like to see at the event please call us in advance on 01872 261110.

We will also be joined by representatives from the following organisations:

• Calibre Audio Library
• Optelec
• Guide Dogs for the Blind
• The Macular Society

The Torpoint Town Council building is located on Buller Road, close Sainsbury’s supermarket, Antony Road pay-and-display carpark is also located within walking distance.

We will be bringing our Sight Loss Awareness Events to other areas of Cornwall so please make sure you check our events list regularly for updated listings.
