September 19, 2016 9:43 am

Today marks the start of the seventh annual National Eye Health Week.  Charities, organisations and health professionals across the country are coming together to promote the importance of eye care and receiving regular eye check ups.

Nearly 2 million people in the UK are living with sight loss, for 58% of these individuals, a simple sight test and new glasses could have helped to avoid this.

Over the course of the next week we will be offering our top tips and advice on how to properly take care of your eyes and the importance of having regular sight tests.
